Love, like lasagna, is best when all the layers are seen, valued, and savored.
We all remember our first heartbreak—some so sharp, we vowed never to try love again. And while that choice protects some, many of us are learning to let love in again--layer by layer—curious about where it might lead. When I make my lasagna, I watch the cheese melt slowly. A man may take his time too—finding quiet joy in the chance to provide, to fix, to protect. It’s subtle, but it’s there. His joy softens him. And we melt too—not always in grand gestures, but in the quiet ways we receive. In how we look at him with genuine admiration, or how deeply we listen when he speaks. Sometimes, love isn’t loud. It’s baked slowly layered with patience, presence, and the willingness to try again. Loving again may feel as intimidating as making a pan of lasagna. Make it anyway. Layer by layer, we give and receive differently. Sam The Lasagna Lady®
