My Trash Can Lasagna reminded me that greatness is rarely born from what’s “expected.”
It comes from what we bother to see, include, and value. The best organizations don’t thrive because of executive strategy alone. They thrive because leaders:
Because here’s the truth: These people are not “just there for a job.” They are part of the recipe. They are part of the structure. They carry history, culture, connection, awareness—and a pulse executives often lose access to. A company becomes a masterpiece when every layer is honored, every voice is heard, and every overlooked ingredient is invited into the kitchen of collaboration. Just like my Trash Can Lasagna—a messy, soulful, layered creation that taught me more about leadership than any business book ever has. Leadership lesson #4: A thriving company is a well-layered lasagna. Everyone belongs. Everyone matters. Everyone adds flavor. Together Forward, Sam The Lasagna Lady®
