High-performing leaders do not run from the rain, they recognize it.

Rain has a way of shifting perspective. To some, it signals inconvenience, something to avoid, something to seek shelter from. But through The Lasagna Lens, rain is not interruption, it is provision. It is not something that stops progress, it is what makes progress possible.

Rain represents the moments leaders often misunderstand, pressure, uncertainty, disruption, seasons that feel heavy. Yet these are the very conditions that produce growth. Crops do not flourish in constant sunshine. Fruit does not develop without the balance of rain. The same is true for people, teams, and organizations.

High-performing leaders understand that what feels uncomfortable is often what is necessary. They do not immediately look for cover when challenges arise. Instead, they stand in it, study it, and learn how to lead through it. Because they know that what is being watered today will be harvested tomorrow.

Through The Lasagna Lens, rain becomes a layer of leadership that cannot be skipped. Leadership is not only built in clear conditions, it is revealed in uncertain ones. Culture is not only strengthened in ease, it is proven in pressure. Engagement is not only maintained in comfort, it deepens through shared challenges. Operations are not only executed in stability, they evolve when tested.

Rain is where roots grow deeper.

There is a difference between leaders who endure the rain and leaders who understand it. One simply survives the season. The other uses it. They recognize that every drop carries potential, every storm carries preparation, and every delay carries development.

Scripture reminds us of this truth with clarity and promise.
“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.” — Deuteronomy 28:12

Rain is not random, it is timely. Blessings are not accidental, they are intentional. High-performing leaders align themselves with this understanding. They do not resist the season, they lead within it.

So, when the rain comes, do not rush to shelter, stand in it, lead through it, and grow because of it.
