Lasagna Wisdom on Trusting the Process
Burnout isn’t always about doing too much. Sometimes it’s about wanting things to resolve faster than they can. Leaders push for answers before clarity exists. Partners push for resolution before emotions cool. Everyone pushes for outcomes before readiness. Lasagna punishes impatience. Cut too soon and the layers slide apart. The ingredients were right. The effort was there. But timing was ignored. Leadership burnout often emerges when patience disappears. When everything feels urgent. When slowing down feels irresponsible. But patience isn’t passive—it’s an active decision to trust the process. Sometimes patience looks like taking a walk instead of sending the email. Sometimes it looks like sleeping on a decision. Sometimes it looks like letting things be unresolved for a while. Structure forms in the pause. If the layers are sliding, it’s not failure—it’s timing. Sam The Lasagna Lady®
